Description

Tsilimigras et al reported the LabScore to evaluate patients with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. This can help to identify a patient who may benefit from more aggressive management. The authors are from multiple institutions from around the world.

Patient selection: intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma

Outcome: overall survival following resection

Parameters:

(1) serum CA19-9 in U/mL

(2) neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR)

(3) platelet count in 10^3/µL (10^9/L)

(4) serum albumin in g/dL

LabScore =

= (1.45 * LN(CA19-9)) + (0.84 * (NLR)) + (0.03 * (platelet count)) - (2.83 * (albumin)) + 8.2
