The life-cycle of synthetic opioids is relatively short. The use of brorphine peaked in 2020 but still may be encountered.
It is a potent drug with a high risk of overdose, similar to fentanyl.
Complications of overdose:
(1) rhabdomyolysis, with or without acute renal failure
(2) respiratory failure
(3) sudden death
Other potential problems:
(1) impurities from synthesis
(2) other drugs added to the synthesized product
(3) abuse with other drugs
