Sun et al reported a simple prognostic score for patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma using inflammatory markers. This can help to identify a patient who may benefit from more aggressive management. The authors are from State Key Laboratory of Oncology in South China and Sun Yat-Sen University in Guangzhou.
Patient selection: diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL)
Parameters:
(1) serum C-reactive protein (CRP) concentration in mg/L
(2) serum albumin concentration in g/L
(3) lymphocyte to monocyte ratio (LMR)

Interpretation:
• minimum score: 0
• maximum score: 3
• The higher the score the worse the prognosis.
