Implantation bleeding involves mild signs and symptoms very early in pregnancy.
Implantation occurs when the blastocyst becomes attached to the uterine lining.
Occurrence: 6 to 12 days after ovulation and fertilization
Clinical features may include:
(1) scant pink or brownish discharge or spotting
(2) mild cramps
For most women implantation is asymptomatic.
It is a diagnosis of exclusion.
