Implantation occurs when the blastocyst becomes attached to the uterine lining.

Occurrence: 6 to 12 days after ovulation and fertilization

Clinical features may include:

(1) scant pink or brownish discharge or spotting

(2) mild cramps

For most women implantation is asymptomatic.

It is a diagnosis of exclusion.
