Description

Quinn et al report the ICU Admission Tool for Congenital Heart Catheterization (iCATCH) for evaluating a patient with congenital heart disease. This uses catheterization risk categories and categories for pre-procedure cardiac status. The authors are from Boston Children's Hospital.

Patient selection: congenital heart disease, single ventricle

Parameters:

(1) oxygen saturation in percent

(2) mean pulmonary artery pressure (mPAp in mm Hg)

(3) ventricular function

(4) atrioventricular valve regurgitation (AVVR)

Categories of risk

(1) low

(2) medium

(3) high
