Ichthyoallyeinotoxism is a rare form of fish poisoning.
Fish species: Kyphosus species; Sarpa salpa; Siganus spinus; Mulloides flavolineatus
Route of exposure: fish ingestion
Location: Western Mediterranean, tropics
Signs and symptoms:
(1) hallucinations (auditory and/or visual)
(2) nightmares
(3) amnesia for recent events
(4) other CNS symptoms
(5) mild gastrointestinal symptoms
