Risk factors for hypomagnesemia:
(1) hypocalcemia (OR 1.7)
(2) hypofibrinogenemia (OR 1.05 per 0.1 g/L decrease)
Low-normal magnesium concentrations would also contribute.
Hypomagnesemia was not associated with increased risk of mortality.
