Therapy with tramadol can result in hypoglycemia, which can be severe.
It can be seen with therapeutic doses or with overdose.
It can occur in both diabetics and non-diabetics,
Clinical features:
(1) Therapy with tramadol.
(2) Detection of hypoglycemia.
(3) Blood glucose normalizes after the tramadol is discontinued.
(4) other causes of hypoglycemia are excluded.
