Gao et al reported a prognostic model for a patient with a diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) involving the gastrointestinal tract. This can help to identify a patient who may require more aggressive management. The authors are from Peking University Third Hospital and Pingdingshan First People's Hospital in China.
Patient selection: gastrointestinal large B-cell lymphoma
HLAMA is based on the first letter of the 5 parameters.
Parameters:
(1) hemoglobin in g/L
(2) age in years
(3) serum LDH in U/L
(4) serum albumin in g/L
(5) maximum intra-abdominal lesion diameter (MIALD) in cm

The authors also developed a simpler score using hemoglobin, serum LDH and age, with point assignment the same as above.
