Hiker's feet are skin changes in the feet associated with anti-synthetase syndrome (ASyS).
Clinical features in the feet:
(1) hyperkeratosis of the toes, lateral and plantar surfaces
(2) skin cracking of the toes and plantar aspect
(3) sparing of the soles
Other findings may include:
(1) mechanics fingers
(2) myopathy
(3) anti-Jo-1 positivity in the anti-synthetase syndrome
(4) heliotrope rash on the face
(5) skin rash on the torso
Many patients may have evidence of interstitial lung disease (ILD).
