Risk factors for infection with hepatitis G virus include:
(1) vertical transmission from mother to child
(2) blood exposure
(3) sex
Populations with a high prevalence of HGV include:
(1) renal dialysis patients
(2) multiply transfused patients
(3) intravenous drug abusers
(4) hemophiliacs treated with blood concentrates
(5) HIV patients
(6) professional sex workers
(7) patients with a sexually-transmitted disease
(8) patients with numerous sex partners
