Sometimes a dump truck driver forgets that the bed is in a raised position. If the driver drives off then bad things can happen.
Hazards of driving with a raised dump truck bed:
(1) contact with overhead power lines, with risk of electrocution
(2) contact with overhead signs, with generation of flying debris
(3) contact with overhead bridge or building floor, which can damage the truck including removal of dumping bed
(4) loss of control due to change in the center of gravity, with a vehicular accident
