In a male prison some prisoners may coerce another prisoner into sodomy. The person being sodomized is referred to as a "prison bitch".
Issues:
(1) sexual release in the absence of alternative outlets (in the idealized world both are heterosexual)
(2) dominance in a violent world of sociopaths
(3) survival for someone perceived as weak
Hazards of being a prison bitch may include:
(1) physical violence
(2) rape
(3) anal trauma
(4) sexually-transmitted disease including HIV and viral hepatitis
(5) poor self-image and depression
