Description

A homeless person may struggle to find the money needed to live.


 

Sources of money:

(1) regular income from disability, insurance, government program, or other source

(2) support from family or friends

(3) panhandle and beg

(4) steal

(5) sell body for sex

(6) sell drugs

(7) recycle cans or other items (scavenge, rummage in cans)

(8) work as a day laborer

 

Some homeless people are paranoid and may carry a large amount of cash, which makes them a target for robbers.

 

Money reserves may also be:

(1) hidden someplace

(2) left with someone who is trusted

(3) in a bank
