Description

The female breast may show areas that histologically resemble gynecomastia in the male breast.


 

The change may occur as

(1) a clinical mass

(2) a microscopic finding

(3) a component of a juvenile fibroadenoma

after first year

increased collagen in the stroma; reduced vascularity and edema
