Description

Hahn et al evaluated the quantitation of paravalvular aortic regurgitation after transcatheter aortic valve replacement. This included a grading scheme for findings seen on echocardiography. The authors are from Columbia University Medical Center, New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Laval University, Medstar Health Research Institute and the Cleveland Clinic.

Patient selection: transcatheter aortic valve replacement

Outcome: paravalvular aortic regurgitation on echocardiography

Parameters:

(1) regurgitant volume in mL

(2) regurgitant fraction
