Description

Both Mycosis Fungoides and Sezary Syndrome are T-cell lymphomas with cutaneous deposits that may involve lymph nodes. The extent of lymph node involvement can be determined on histologic examination.

General features:

(1) dermatopathic lymphadenopathy (expansion of paracortical zone with dendritic cells, macrophages with or without melanin, lymphocytes, plasma cells, and variable numbers of eosinophils)

(2) number of T-cells with cerebriform (convoluted) nuclei

(3) effacement of nodal architecture
