Allahabadi et al reported the Gluteus 7 score for evaluating a patient with a tear of the gluteus medius and/or minimus. This can help to predict surgical outcome. The authors are from Rush University in Chicago.
The "7" in the name comes from the maximum score.
Patient selection: tear of gluteus medius and/or minimus muscles
Parameters:

Interpretation:
• minimum score: 1 (excludes a normal MRI)
• maximum score: 7
• The higher the score the greater the risk of surgical treatment failure.
