Description

Bulluck et al reported the Glasgow CMR risk model to evaluate a patient with reperfused ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Certain findings on cardiac magnetic resonance can help to identify a patient at increased long-term risk. The authors are from the University of Glasgow, University of East Anglia, Leeds University, and other institutions in the UK.

Patient selection: reperfused ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction

Exam: noncontrast cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR)

Parameters:

(1) left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) in percent

(2) intramyocardial hemorrhage seen on T2 maps
