Description

The GISSI-2 Index can be used to evaluate a patient with acute myocardial infarction who has received thrombolytic therapy. The authors are from IRCCS Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza Hospital in Italy.

Parameters:

(1) Killip class or signs of congestive heart failure

(2) left ventricular ejection fraction in percent

(3) exercise capacity in watts

(4) symptomatic ST segment depression

(5) peak heart rate and systolic blood pressure product

peak heart rate and systolic blood pressure product =

= (peak heart rate in beats per minute) * (systolic blood pressure in mm Hg)
