The Gianotti-Crosti Syndrome may occur after being vaccinated against a viral infection.
Vaccinations associated with Gianotti-Crosti syndrome:
(1) Varicella Zoster
(2) yellow fever
(3) influenza
(4) hepatitis A
(5) MMR (measles, mumps, rubella)
(6) dTaP
(7) hepatitis B
Vaccinations against viruses may also trigger the response.
When to suggest a vaccine-related event:
(1) onset soon after a vaccination
(2) exclusion of other causes of Gianotti-Crosti syndrome, especially a recent viral infection.
