Description

Lamarca et al reported the GI-NEC score for evaluating patients with high-grade gastrointestinal neuroendocrine carcinoma. This can help to distinguish 2 prognostic groups. The authors are from The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, University of Lyon, Charite University Medicine Berlin, Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc Bruxelles, Doce de Octubre University Hospital, Royal Free Hospital, and the University of Manchester.


Patient selection: high-grade gastrointestinal neuroendocrine carcinoma, with Ki-67 > 20%

Exclusion: ECOG 4 and mixed adeno-neuroendocrine carcinoma

Sites: esophagus, stomach, duodenum, appendix, colon, rectum, pancreas

(3) serum LDH in IU/L

(4) ECOG performance status
