Purpose: To predict mortality in an elderly person who has suffered traumatic injury using the Geriatric Trauma Severity Score (GTSS).

Description

Demaria et al developed the Geriatric Trauma Survival Score (GTSS) to predict mortality in older patients who undergo trauma. This can help identify patients who may benefit from more aggressive management. The authors are from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
