Bouillanne et al developed the Geriatric Nutritional Risk Index (GNRI) to identify elderly medical patients at nutritional risk. It can be used to screen elderly patients on hospital admission. The authors are from Assistance Publique-Hopitaux de Paris and Universite Paris.
Patient selection: age >= 65 years
Parameter:
(1) current body weight in kilograms
(2) ideal body weight in kilograms
(3) serum albumin in g/L
