Patient selection: peripheral arterial disease

 

Symptoms

Stage

asymptomatic (incomplete vascular obstruction)

I

mild pain with claudication at distance > 200 meters

IIA

pain with claudication at distance < 200 meters

IIB

rest pain, mostly in the feet

III

necrosis and/or gangrene

IV
