Miller et al developed a fecal incontinence scoring system for patients with fecal incontinence. This can be used for initial patient evaluation and to monitor the patient's response to interventions over time. The authors are from Bristol Royal Infirmary in England.
Fecal type when incontinent:
(1) flatus (gas)
(2) liquid stool
(3) solid stool
