A number of factors may contribute to the success of human traffickers. Traffickers are drawn to something that offers easy money with low risk to themselves, even if it means the destruction of others.


 

Parameters:

(1) people doing the trafficking

(2) attitude of the police in the country of origin

(3) attitude of the police in the target country

(4) transportation of the victims

(5) economy in the country of origin

(6) economy in the target country

(7) legality of the occupation for trafficked person in the target country

(8) societal attitude in the target country towards the victims of trafficking

(9) people trying to make an intervention

 

Factors contributing to current success in human trafficking:

(1) The trafficking is done by organized criminals who are violent and willing to do anything to further their work.

(2) The police in the countries of origin are bribed and/or indifferent.

(3) The police in the target countries are bribed and/or indifferent.

(4) The barriers to transport have been reduced, making it very easy to do.

(5) The economy in the country of origin is very poor.

(6) The economy in the target county is very good.

(7) The activity in the target country is legal, but the trafficked person is viewed as a criminal by being an illegal migrant worker.

(8) The society in the target country is indifferent.

(9) Either no one cares to intervene, or the people who try to make an intervention are incompetent.
