Facility preparations may include:
(1) access controls on outside doors with remote monitoring
(2) locks and access control on room doors
(3) surveillance cameras
(4) designation of evacuation routes, with 2 or more available
(5) making floor plans accessible to first responders
(6) assembling crisis kits
(7) room signage for reporting locations
(8) fire extinguishers and fire suppression system
(9) emergency notification system that can reach all persons
Crisis kits may include:
(1) 2-way radios
(2) floor plans
(3) first aid kits
(4) flashlights
(5) contact information
(6) keys
(7) helmet, vest or other method for role designation
