Description

Pfirrmann et al reported the EUTOS Long-Term Survival (ELTS) score for patients with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). This can help to identify a patient who may benefit from more aggressive management. The authors are from multiple institutions in Europe.

Patient selection: CML

Parameters:

(1) age in years

(2) spleen size in cm below the left costal margin

(3) percent blasts in the peripheral blood

(4) platelet count in 10^9/L
