Description

EULAR developed a disease activity index for primary Sjogren's syndrome called the ESSDAI. This consists of 12 subscores measuring various components of disease activity. The authors are from the European League Against Rheumatism Sjogren's Task Force.

Patient selection: primary Sjogren's syndrome

Stable long-standing changes are graded as "no activity".

Exclude renal disease due to other ause

Parameters for renal subscore:

(1) proteinuria in grams per day

(2) hematuria

(3) leukocyturia

(4) renal tubular acidosis

(5) GFR

(6) biopsy findings
