The World Health Organization (WHO) has published a range of child growth standards. One of these involves gender-specific weight-for-age tables. This can be used for estimate body weight for drug dosing in an emergency.
Parameters:
(1) age of the child in days
(2) gender
(3) percentile for weight: 5th, 25th, 50th, 75th and 95th
The algorithm is a large lookup table.
