Description

The chart of Lund and Browder for percent body surface area (BSA) in a given body region can be used to describe the extent of skin disorder.


Parameters:

(1) age in years

(2) body region

(3) severity of skin involvement (none, mild, moderate, severe)

= (percent of body surface area in a region) * (percent of region showing that level of severity) / 100

 

The sum of the areas for each region should add up to 100%.
