Description

Brizuela Sanz et al developed the ERICVA model for critical limb ischemia. The complete model uses 11 parameters while a simplified version uses 5. The authors are from Hospital Clinica Universitario, University of Vallalodid in Spain.

ERICVA is derived from Escala de Riesgo en Isquemia Critica de Valladolid

Patient selection: critical limb ischemia, Rutherford class 4 to 6

Parameters:

(1) dialysis

(2) active cancer within the past 5 years

(3) hematocrit in percent

(4) neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio

(5) Rutherford class

(6) cerebrovascular disease

(7) previous contralateral major amputation

(8) diabetes mellitus

(9) COPD or asthma

(10) peri-malleolar Doppler signal

(11) admission

neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio =

= (absolute neutrophil count per µL) / (absolute lymphocyte count per µL)
