Description

White et al developed equations for estimating the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) based on the serum concentration of beta-trace protein (BTP). The authors are from Queen's University, the University of Ottawa, University of Western Ontario and several hospitals in Canada.

Parameters:

(1) serum beta-trace protein in mg/L (measured by nephelometry on a Dade Behring Prospec analyzer)

(2) serum creatinine in µmol/L (measured on a Beckman Coulter LX20)

(3) serum urea in mmol/L (measured on a Beckman Coulter LX20)

(4) gender
