Shiter and Aslani reported an updated version of the body surface area equation of DuBois and DuBois. The authors are from Royal North Shore Hospital in Australia.

(2) body weight in kilograms
body surface area in square cm =
= 94.9 * ((weight)^0.441) * ((height)^0.655)
The authors note that the original DuBois and DuBois equations were based on a small number of subjects. In addition, modern statistical methods were not available at the time.
