Orozco-Ruiz et al developed equations for predicting the resting energy expenditure (REE) in adult Mexicans who are overweight or obese. The authors are from Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Medicas y Nutricion in Mexico and the Istituto di Bioimmagini e Fisiologia Molecolare and Istituto di Tecnologie Biomediche del Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche in Milan.
The name of the equations were NEQ (New EQuations).
