Equations of Lee et al for Measuring Total Body Water in Korean Adults on Hemodialysis

total body water in liters for a male =

= (0.243057 * (height)) + (0.366248 * (weight)) - 28.3497

total body water in liters for a female =

= (0.262513 * (height)) + (0.232948 * (weight)) - 26.6224

The authors found that several equations for total body water tended to overestimate the volume in Koreans. The equations of Watson et al were closest to the total body water and showed the least bias.
