Equation of Steckelberg et al for Predicting Mean Pulmonary Artery Pressure (MPAP) from Peak Pulmonary Artery Systolic Pressure (PASP)

Steckelberg et al reported an equation for predicting mean pulmonary artery pressure (MPAP) from peak pulmonary artery systolic pressure (PASP). Determination of PASP by Doppler echocardiography is noninvasive and avoids the need for right heart catheterization. The authors are from the Mayo Clinic.
