Argall et al reported an equation for estimating the weight of child from age. The authors are from Manchester Royal Infirmary in England.

Nguyen et al noted that the difference between the estimate and actual weight increases when the actual weight is over 35 kilograms, which would be for older ages (9 and 10 years) within the range.
The authors noted that the average weight of children is increasing and equations for estimating weight need to be adjusted over time to take this into account.
