Description

Abisheganaden et al modified the original CURB (Confusion, Urea, Respiratory rate, Blood pressure) score to evaluate an older adult hospitalized for community-acquired pneumonia (CAP). This can help to identify a patient who may benefit from more aggressive management. The authors are from Tan Tock Seng Hospital, National Healthcare Group Health Services and Outcomes Research and National University Hospital Singapore.
