Higgins et al listed end points for various disease activity indices that correlate with clinical improvement and remission for a patient with ulcerative colitis. The authors are from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.


 

Disease activity indices evaluated:

(1) St. Mark's (index of Powell-Tuck et al, 10.17.25)

(2) ulcerative colitis disease activity index (UCDAI, of Sutherland et al, 10.17.28)

(3) simple clinical colitis activity index (SCCAI, of Walmsley et al, 10.17.21)

(4) Seo score (10.17.20)

(5) inflammatory bowel disease quality of life index (IBDQ, 01.22.01)

(6) 7 point Likert scale (from much better to much worse)
