A patient with Duchenne's muscular dystrophy may show a number of changes in the electrocardiogram.
Manifestations:
(1) cardiac arrhythmias
(2) involvement of the posterobasal and posterolateral left ventricle, including the posterolateral papillary muscle
Cardiac arrhythmias may include:
(1) sinus tachycardia
(2) atrial flutter
(3) other atrial or ventricular arrhythmias
ECG changes:
(1) tall R wave in V1 and V2
(2) deep, narrow Q waves in I, aVL and V4-V6.
