Thiabendazole (Mintezol, Merck) can be used to treat a patient with a parasitic infection. The dose is based on body weight and the duration on the specific parasite.
Susceptible parasites:
(1) Strongyloidiasis
(2) cutaneous larva migrans
(3) visceral larva migrans
(4) trichinosis
(5) intestinal roundworms (Ascariasis, Trichuriasis, Uncinariasis)
