Description

Chandel et al reported the DO-GAP score to evaluate a patient with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). The authors are from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Hopital European Georges Pompidou and Inova Fairfax Hospital.

DO-GAP is named for the parameters of the score.

Patient selection: idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis

Parameters:

(1) distance in 6MWT in meters (D)

(2) oxygenation as hypoxia (O)

(3) gender (G)

(4) age in years (A)

(5) physiology as percent of predicted (P) for FVC and DLCO
