A patient with Sjogren's syndrome may develop interstitial nephritis and distal renal tubular acidosis. The patient may present with one of the complications.
Clinical features:
(1) Sjogren's syndrome
(2) distal renal tubular acidosis
(3) hypokalemia
Complications may include:
(1) osteomalacia
(2) hypokalemic paralysis
(3) nephrogenic diabetes insipidus
