Description

The All Japan TAFRO Syndroe Research Group reported a classification for the severity of TAFRO Syndrome, with initial criteria in 2015 and an update in 2019.

Patient selection: TAFRO syndrome

Parameters:

(1) anasarca (pleural effusion on imaging, ascites on imaging, pitting edema)

(2) thrombocytopenia (platelet count per µL)

(3) fever and/or inflammation (body temperature in °C or serum CRP in mg/dL)

(4) renal insufficiency (GFR)
