Martins et al reported the Ostomy Skin Tool (OST) to evaluate peristomal skin. A significant component of the OST score was the DET score (discoloration, erosion, tissue overgrowth). The authors are from institutions in Canada, the United States, Denmark and the Netherlands.

= SUM(points for all of the parameters)
