Description

A number of genetic disorders can cause both sensorineural hearing loss and retinitis pigmentosa.


Conditions that may be cause both sensorineural hearing loss and retinitis pigmentosa:

(1) Alport syndrome

(2) classical Refsum disease or other peroxisomal disorder

(3) Cockayne syndrome

(4) mitochondrial disorder

(5) Usher syndrome type 1 or 2

(6) Waardenburg syndrome

(7) Zellweger spectrum disorder (ZSD)
