Right ventricular dysfunction is associated with a number of findings.
Features of right ventricular dysfunction:
(1) right ventricular hypokinesis
(2) ratio RV to LV end-diastolic diameter > 1
(3) right ventricular end-diastolic diameter > 30 mm
(4) systolic pulmonary artery pressure (PAP) > 30 mm Hg
(5) tricuspid regurgitant velocity > 2.8 meters per second
(6) mean pulmonary artery pressure > 20 mm Hg
where:
• Features 2 and 3 indicate right ventricular dilatation.
• Features 4, 5 and 6 indicate pulmonary hypertension.
