(1) delta anion gap (rise in anion gap from baseline)

(2) delta bicarbonate (fall in bicarbonate from baseline)

= (current anion gap) - (baseline anion gap)

 

delta bicarbonate gap =

= (baseline bicarbonate) - (current bicarbonate)

 

delta gap =

= (delta anion gap) - (delta bicarbonate)
